Last Sunday March 8th, 2015, Houston Chronicle newspaper published the article by Monica Rhor named: “THE MILLION” which discloses very important information about the current situation of the immigrant population in Houston, Harris County and within this particular neighborhood at Hillcroft Avenue. I was pleased to read the article as they recognized my contribution and commitment to Hillcroft neighborhood, not only as a physician and care giver, but also as a poet inspired ...by the immigrants. In fact, I had envisioned that particular spot in Houston many years ago, with a dense population of Hispanics and other immigrants. This is why I decided to place a satellite clinic in this neighborhood so we can transform it into a healthier one, which is the philosophy of a current project of mine titled: " Dr. Jorge Suárez - "La Cura a través de la Prevención."

Desde que llegué a Houston, siempre he estado trabajando en pro de los inmigrantes. En mis clínicas atiendo a muchos de ellos y les ayudo a entender la importancia del cuidado de la salud.
El pasado domingo, en el periódico La Voz, se publicó un interesante reportaje acerca de los inmigrantes, donde fui entrevistado y tuve la oportunidad de expresar mi punto de vista con respecto a este neurálgico tema aquí en Estados Unidos.
Todo mi pensar y accionar en esta última década, está plasmado en mi libro "La Cura" que fue recientemente publicado.
Mi intención al montar la Clínica Popular ubicada en la calle Hillcroft, en un barrio donde abundan los inmigrantes fue para tornar este barrio más saludable.
